Trolleys & Racks
Mascot Wire Works appreciates that many organisations have their own specific needs, particularly when it comes to mobile trolleys or racks. This is why we custom-make racks to customers' specifications, at a standard rack price. Years of experience has taught us that this is the only way to truly achieve total customer satisfaction.
Pictured on the right is a good example of a practical Mascot Wire Works solution. This particular customer required a mobile rack with slide out shelves that would maximise the very limited space they had available. It needed to fit between two walls in a small room with entrances on either side, yet have a prescribed amount of shelf space. After an on site inspection by senior sales staff, the room, doorway and area for the mobile rack to be manouvered in were measured. A rack was designed and drawn allowing for all of the customers' considerations and desires. The result was an 18 shelf stainless steel double width rack, which utilised all but 10mm between the two walls of the room. (This was required for manouvering).
Sound impressive? Well the most impressive part of this process is the price.
Most 'off-the-shelf' standard racks and trolleys do not suit their required application, and cost the same or more than Mascot Wire Works' custom-made examples.
If you are thinking that there must be a catch; like poor quality or cheap materials, you'll be happy to know that the trolleys and racks are built to the highest possible standards, using tig and/or mig welding. Extensive mechanical polishing removes any unsightly blemishes or burrs from the welding process, and only high quality, high weight rated castors ensuring ease of operation are selected. As some of these racks are destined for the autoclave, we also have high temperature rubber tyre castors complete with steel brakes, that easily withstand the tremendous heat generated inside an autoclave. These castors now allow a whole rack to be autoclavable, rather than having two or three different processes for sterilisination. As an option, the mobile racks and trolleys can be split into two parts in order to overcome restrictions such as autoclave size. Suprisingly, this option adds very little to the overall cost.
